Healthcare reform

For those of you who have been trying to follow the Obama heathcare reform here’s a helpful flow chart. (A bigger version is here)

That is excellent Ois. I’ve just come back from traveling around California and it’s been very hard to work out what the debate is about. In local newspapers it seemed to be only mentioned in letters columns (more in favour as you moved towards the coast and away from desert) - but the discussions seemed to be more about the NHS and Swedish medical systems than what Obama was actually doing (my favourite quote was ‘I have heard that in Sweden they have riots at hospitals because people can’t get good health care’). And while The Daily Show provides a good critique of some of the absurdities of the right opposition, it doesn’t leave you with a sense of what is actually being proposed.
